Care simulation event in Blackpool

Care and compassion centred on the persons needs was the uniting and driving force behind a highly interactive simulation event yesterday, delivered by Prospect. Over 75 participants from across the health, social care and voluntary sector in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast worked together to explore how a new, integrated service, called the Extensive Service, will meet the needs of frail and elderly people living with long terms health issues. A celebration to end the EMLA leadership programme

Last week our NHS clients will have seen the production of the secretary of state in his 20-year vision. In this he speaks about leadership and the 19 recommendations in the Rose report. Last week Prospect celebrated the learning of senior leaders in financial services across the East Midlands. The programme has been sponsored by EMLA and FSD EM. The nine month programme has involved 5 – 2 day master classes, expert speakers, service improvement projects and action learning sets. Credit Union - Transformation Project

Today is the first of three workshops taking place in Manchester, London and Glasgow over the summer period. Credit Union leaders are coming together in Manchester to continue the process of transformation within their teams based throughout the UK. Not only are they looking into their own teams and community needs but also at how they link together to make Credit Unions stronger and more accessible. The original goverment inititive is in its second year now, backing the growth of credit unions to increase their effectivness as a viable option for people to use as an alternative to banks and instead of payday loan establishments. This week Prospect celebrated the programme which brought Health Visitors and School Nursing colleagues together. The delegates of the Leadership programme had the opportunity to share their learning with their Sponsors and Commissioners. The twelve month programme has involved 10 master classes, expert speakers, service improvement projects and action learning sets. In this event we heard the improvements made in the projects, the learning, and leadership journey of all delegates.
