East Lancashire CCG Clinical Leadership Programme

This week we delivered the fourth masterclass of our Clinical Leadership Programme at ELCCG. The topic explored decision-making, challenge and scrutiny - absolutely vital stuff for a clinically led organisation, working with members and also with partners across Lancashire. In the afternoon we discussed culture change and the important role Clinical leaders take in transmitting and changing culture.

Coaching with Prospect

This week we were delighted to have set up our first coaching appointment for a senior leader from Oxfam. We coach people from the NHS, Boards, Local Government and Social Enterprises. Coaching topics include career management or change, relationships at work, improving personal effectiveness and work/life balance issues. Our coaching team all are qualified and have 1000 hours plus of individual and team coaching. We are all supervised and regularly participate in CPD. Next month Donna Bradshaw is going to spend two days training with renowned psychotherapists to explore taking a psychological approach to coaching issues of shame, envy and guilt at work.

Well North: Developing Leaders with the Staff College and Defence Academy

Donna Bradshaw joined nine Leaders from across the Well North Pathfinder in September in order to participate in a powerful, pioneering, new approach to leadership development - by bringing international military leaders and health professionals together using the Command Leadership Programme. The programme consisted of excellent speakers and lectures on topics including personal leadership, the dark side of leadership, building excellent teams, and using behavioural insights. Well North Programme discussed in Lancet Article

Donna Bradshaw is the systems leadership advisor to the Well North Programme - a radical programme led by CEO Sam Tunney and Chairman Lord Andrew Mawson. The radical programme focuses on building strong communities to unleash the potential in people and in local assets to improve health and wellbeing. As many of us know, good health and well being is often a consequence of having a decent home, meaningful work, relationships and a good community. Cumbria Leadership Programme 4th Cohort Launch

On the 5th and 6th October in Carlisle, Prospect launched the fourth Cohort for the Leading with Quality Care programme. This means that more than 80 people have now participated in the programme. The launch included topics such as Self as Leader, Understanding your Leadership Impact, Building and Leading Effective Teams and Power and Politics. Donna Bradshaw led the sessions and said they were 'a very energising couple of days.
