Colemans-ctts
Achievement of IIP Gold

"As an ILM endorsed consultancy specializing in change management, Prospect were ideally suited in helping us to achieve IIP Gold. Having recently been accredited with
IIP Silver they were well placed to understand our needs."

Julie Peacock, Quality Services Manager, Colemans-ctts

Background

Multi-office Law firm Colemans-ctts commissioned Prospect’s Donna Bradshaw to assist them in their aim of achieving IIP Gold and the Law Society Practice Management standard, Lexcel, for the 10th time.

Activity

Prospect worked with the partners, managers and staff to assess the firm’s current state against the IIP standards and make recommendations for action. Prospect facilitated focus group discussions with partners, managers and staff (45% of all staff in total) to test embedding of culture change and people processes.

A final report and actions were produced to support their successful assessment and accreditation. Prospect shared the programme materials with the client so cascade training could be undertaken in the future.

In addition, Prospect conducted psychometric interviews of candidates for the firm’s new finance director and made reports and recommendations to the Senior Partner, Janet Tilley. Prospect also conducted a significant bench-marking exercise with other law firms to assess latest approaches and packages to attract high talent staff, including mystery shopping and media analysis.

Results

IIP Gold achieved by Coleman’s within ten weeks

of commissioning Prospect.

Industry standard, Lexcel achieved for the tenth time during the same period.

Colemans-ctts felt that using Prospect as an external consultancy added credibility to what the firm wanted to achieve both for its business strategy and for the future of its people, and allowed people to air their feelings and opinions without the presence of management.
