Rob is probably best known for his 20 year tenure as Chief Executive of the Bromley by Bow Centre in East London. Under his leadership the charity grew its internationally-renowned model of locally-owned community health provision, which delivers a holistic and easily accessible range of integrated services in one place.


He pioneered close collaboration with local clinicians and housing providers, alongside a broad range of dynamic partners; ranging from global businesses to local artists.


Rob remains a Partner in Bromley by Bow Health, which provides primary care services to 53,000 patients in East London. He is also the Chair of Settle, a charity that supports young people moving out of care and into their first homes, And is a Patron of The Reader, a national charity based in Liverpool which uses the power of shared reading to effect change in the lives of people in venues as varied as health centres and prisons.


In recognition of his services to charity and entrepreneurship Rob was awarded the British Empire Medal by HM The Queen in the 2018 New Year’s Honours and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
