Sonia is an innovative leader with over three decades of experience working in the public sector. Her career includes managing a range of service areas working collaboratively with elected members, residents, businesses and partners to transform services and deliver outcomes that make a difference to the social and economic well-being of communities.

As Head a service in local government and whilst at Trafford Council, Sonia managed a wide portfolio of community and neighbourhood services, delivering whole place and whole systems transformational change.

Sonia specialises in developing partnerships, joining up communities, partners and businesses using a community asset based approach.

Sonia's roles have involved working with many partner organisations including the Police, Housing, Education, Probation, Job Centre Plus, Fire, Health, Businesses and wide range of voluntary, community and faith organisation.

Throughout her career, Sonia has managed many successful projects and been involved in negotiations at all levels from setting local priorities with communities to brokering more formal negotiations with businesses and developers on town regeneration plans.

She is passionate about putting communities at the heart of public services and supporting them to improve their quality of life.
